Our projects
Our projects are about learning from and observing our local environment, and celebrating and strengthening our connection to the web of life.
Coastcare Victoria Community Grant 2024-25
Strengthening Groups – to build citizen science and other group skills, a website and a 5 year strategy.
Community education and participation focussed on local biodiversity.
Community-based arts, citizen science and nature-focused tourism projects have enhanced our appreciation of where we live and highlighted our ongoing connections and knowledge-building around biodiversity. Lake Tyers Beach and its human footprint continues to grow and with it opportunities to build awareness and participation.
We want to upskill and grow our group, making what we do, know and learn accessible and visible and inviting more of our community to participate.

Restoring littoral rainforest, also known as coastal vine thicket.
Connecting corridors of vegetation and controlling landscape altering weeds like cape ivy are key actions to keep remaining stands of rainforest along our shorelines healthy
On-ground restoration in Camp Street rainforest gully and nearby buffering vegetation through control of transforming weeds and sensitive supplementary planting will protect vegetation structure.
